In this modern era, product visual presentation is very important because the first thing consumers see when buying a product (other than the product) is the packaging. Consumers today are also very concerned about the aesthetics of product packaging. So, why is packaging or packaging so important for companies?

Companies can show their brand or company image through the packaging or product packaging they sell. If it doesn’t have an attractive design, potential buyers will tend to ignore the product so that the product will only be a displayed on the store shelf without creating buying interest in consumers. Some consumers even choose products based on their packaging, regardless of whether the product is of high quality or not. For this reason, many companies are playing with attractive color schemes and designs in order to increase the appeal of their products.

Get rid of boredom
The packaging design should be simple and functional, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be innovated so it doesn’t look boring. Product packaging may look minimalistic, but it must still be firm and attractive. For example, the use of pale or pastel colors will make the product look different and more attractive than other products. While other products may use flashy colors, using pastel colors in packaging can eliminate the impression of boredom for consumers and still look simple and attractive.

Improve branding
Many marketers use packaging as a marketing strategy. Product packaging is indeed considered to be more effective in improving the company’s branding if the company is able to balance between brand identity and attractive packaging designs. Today, many business owners are maximizing branding over attractive designs, and vice versa. This will tend to make consumers confused with the products they buy. Even so, companies still have to consider the costs used for packaging. Do not spend a large amount of money on packaging but instead lose money.
